SALEM (WBZ-AM) -- A Marblehead hockey coach is now facing charges of child sexual assault in two counties, and is accused of assaulting at least nine children.
Christopher Prew, 31 of Winthrop, provided private and group hockey lessons in Marblehead up until January 2018.
He was arraigned Tuesday morning on child sexual assault charges in Salem Superior Court.
Essex County Prosecutors say Prew assaulted children who took part in a private hockey program he ran called "Hot Shots" in Marblehead.
The Middlesex County DA says he assaulted a 9-year-old boy in the child's Newton home on multiple occasions, dating back to 2015.
Prew has been ordered held without bail in Essex County pending a dangerousness hearing on Thursday.
On Friday, he's scheduled for arraignment in Middlesex Superior Court.
He's been indicted on charges involving two children, and charges are pending in cases involving six more.
The victims range in age from six to eleven.
