Two Suspects In Martha's Vineyard Armed Robbery Ordered Held Without Bail

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two suspects that were arrested in connection to last month's armed robbery of a Rockland Trust in Martha's Vineyard— have been ordered held without bail in Boston's U.S. District Court on Tuesday.

According to court documents, Miquel Jones and Omar Johnson both waived their rights to a prompt detention hearing because they are held in state custody. Both defendants have been ordered held without bail pending a probable cause hearing that's scheduled for Monday, December 12.

Jones and Johnson are charged with counts of armed robbery, something that carries a maximum prison sentence of 25 years.

Originally police were on a manhunt for multiple robbers that hit the bank just as it was opening for the day.
