BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — The Boston Bruins could drop the puck on Fenway Park's baseball diamond next season.
The Bruins are hoping to have a full NHL season next year with fans in the stands. For that reason, the team is exploring a variety of outdoor venues for home games including Fenway Park.
The team says at this point, they're in the exploratory phase but are in consistent contact with the NHL, the state, and the city of Boston.

The Bruins have played on the baseball diamond before back in 2010 when they hosted the Philadelphia Flyers for the Winter Classic.
The NHL is aiming for January 1 for the start of the next season, but the league says it's taking its time and making sure the focus is on health and safety.
If the team had their games played outside in the open air, it means a lower risk of potential coronavirus transmission if the public is allowed in.
