Boston Police Searching For Suspect Who Attacked Elderly Man With A Hammer

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Boston Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect accused of attacking an elderly man with a hammer.

The incident happened in Dorchester shortly before 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 20 near Columbia Road and Washington Street.

The victim said a man got out of his car, approached and hit him in the leg with a hammer before fleeing the area. The victim was taken to a local hospital.

The suspect is described as a black non-Hispanic man, between 40 and 50 years old, about 6 feet tall, and weighing 200 pounds.
