Fall River Police Seeking Second Suspect In Shooting

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Fall River Police are seeking a male suspect in connection to a shooting which occurred earlier this month.

The suspect, 27-year-old Nestly Lewis, should be considered armed and dangerous, police say.

According to authorities, officers responded to America Street around 3 p.m. on Nov. 3 after receiving reports of shots fired. Police found a man suffering from gunshot wounds to his stomach and arm. He was hospitalized and is recovering.

Police say they later learned the victim had gotten involved in an altercation with two other men. After the argument became physical with one man, the other shot the victim.

A second suspect, Gilberto Velazquez-Arce, 24, was arrested Wednesday and charged in connection with the shooting.
