Five MBTA Employees Test Positive For COVID-19

BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two additional MBTA employees have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total to five.

"Yesterday, the MBTA was informed that two additional employees have tested positive for COVID-19, including one at the Southampton bus garage and one at the Orient Heights rail yard," MBTA spokeperson Joe Pesaturo told WBZ NewsRadio. "In keeping with CDC and DPH guidance, the MBTA will inform employees who had prolonged direct contact with these employees."

On Wednesday, the MBTA announced that three bus drivers had confirmed cases of COVID-19.
