BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Four Massachusetts colleges received failing grades in a recent antisemitism report published by the Anti-Defamation League.

Researchers analyzed how colleges around the country, including 10 in Massachusetts, respond to antisemitism on campus.

"ADL produced this Report Card during a time of incredible volatility on college campuses," the report said. "It takes the temperature at a moment in time and provides a roadmap for improving campus climate."

Harvard University; the Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Tufts University; and the University of Massachusetts, Amherst all received failing grades.

The report cites recent lawsuits and "anti-Zionist incidents" at some of these schools in the wake of Hamas' Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

Former Harvard President Claudine Gay testified alongside MIT's president before the United States House of Representatives in December on their responses to antisemitism at their schools.

Gay resigned from her role as Harvard's president in January.

A Republican-chaired congressional committee subpoenaed Harvard for documents in February as part of an investigation into the school's response to antisemitism.

Brandeis University earned the one of only two A marks in the nationwide ADL report.
