Holden Police Investigating After Man Reportedly Urinates On American Flag

HOLDEN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) —An investigation is underway in central Massachusetts, after police received two reports of American Flag theft and desecration.

On Monday, Holden police responded between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to the Veterans Memorial which is on Highland Street between the First Congregational Church and the Gale Free Library.

Witnesses reported that a man drove up to the memorial, took down the American Flag, put it on the ground and urinated on it.

Police say the individual then drove his vehicle onto a yard on Highland Street, got out of the vehicle and ripped an American Flag off the house before driving away.

Holden police are asking for the public's help to identify this person and anyone with information is asked to give them a call at 508-210-5613.
