BOSTON (WBZ NewsRadio) — Celtics legend Kevin Garnett has called out Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving for stomping on the Celtics logo Sunday night.
On his Instagram story, Garnett wrote “You can’t do that. That’s not coo on no level… All of us need to be better.”
Irving, a former Celtics guard, stomped on the logo after being booed by the crowd at TD Garden.
This happened the same night Celtics fan Cole Buckley, 21, of Braintree, allegedly threw a water bottle at Irving as he was walking off the court.
Buckley is facing a charge of assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon. He’s set to be arraigned in Boston Municipal Court on Wednesday.
