SOMERVILLE, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Dedicated customers at Lyndell's Bakery in Somerville do not need to fear an end to their tasty bread and pastries, despite the bakery's building being demolished soon.
Lyndell's Bakery said they are celebrating 135 years in business, but bidding farewell to their original building.
The bakery said that their landlord has filed for a demolition permit to tear down the building, and replace it with a new mixed use building featuring retail and residential units. Lyndell's said they will be moving into new retail space, and that are temporarily relocating while construction is under way.
