Manchester Man Facing Multiple Felonies For Alleged Sexual Assault

MANCHESTER, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged sexual assault in Manchester on Friday morning.

According to Manchester Police Department, Jose Polanco Diaz was taken into custody Friday night and charged with multiple felonies, including Aggravated Felonious Sexual Assault, Burglary, and Criminal Threatening.

At around 9 a.m. Friday, MPD responded to an Auburn Street apartment for a reported sexual assault. The caller said his girlfriend had woken up to a man assaulting her, and that the suspect had a machete. The victim was able to get away and run from the apartment.

A surveillance video image captured the suspect leaving the area. Through their investigation, MPD said they were able to make contact with Diaz and he was taken into custody.
