Millbury Police Help Light Up Basketball Court For Kids

MILLBURY, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Millbury Police are being praised on Facebook after four of their officers helped out a group of kids playing basketball in the dark.

The officers responded to a report of youths playing in the dark at Washington Street Park Thursday night.

When they got there, Officers Oliveri, Aquafresca, Tarckini, and Sutherland used their cruiser lights to brighten up the court—and then joined the kids to shoot a few baskets.

"This is what community policing is all about!" the department wrote on their Facebook page.
