MANCHESTER, N.H. (WBZ NewsRadio) — UPDATE: Authorities confirmed Timothy Johnson was arrested at approximately 12:39 p.m. Wednesday Feb. 17th in Framingham, Massachusetts.
Authorities in New Hampshire issued an arrest warrant for a suspect Sunday in connection with a murder in Manchester.
According to the New Hampshire Deputy Attorney General Jane E. Young's office, an autopsy was conducted on 67-year-old Jean Lascelle, who was found shot outside 351 Chestnut Street in Manchester on Saturday February 13th.
"Medical Examiner Dr. Derek S. Bumgarner has determined that the cause of Mr. Lascelle’s death was a gunshot wound to the head," Young said.
An arrest warrant was issued Sunday for 38-year-old Timothy Johnson, charging him with one count of second-degree murder for "knowingly causing Mr. Lascelle’s death by shooting him with a firearm."
Authorities said Johnson is considered to be armed and dangerous, and should not be approached.
Young's office released several photos of Johnson, who was last seen in front of 351 Chestnut Street at approximately 8:39 a.m. on February 13th, and is believed to be on foot.
When last seen, Johnson was wearing a tan/light brown overcoat, a light colored watch cap, and a green Molle-style backpack. Police said he also has a distinct tattoo on the left side of his lower neck.
