MEDFORD, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — On Friday morning, the Tufts University Police Department issued an urgent message that advised the public that there has been yet another threat to the school's Medford/Somerville campus, though this time police are saying it is a "security threat," and there's no mention that a bomb is involved.
Tufts Police say the campus will remain open while officials "assess the recent threats against the university." Officials go on to say that students, staff, and residents can expect to see a larger volume of police personnel on campus on Friday.
Police are asking the public that if they see anything suspicious to call the authorities.

This is the third threat against the school's security this week, on Wednesday and Thursday the university received two separate bomb threats against the Somerville/Medford campus. During those incidents, multiple buildings were evacuated and some finals exams were postponed and moved to an online format.
Police say neither of the two prior bomb threats were credible.
