Two Arrested In Connection With Fatal Shooting In Fall River

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) — Two people were arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of an 18-year-old man in Fall River, authorities announced Sunday.

Fall River police said officers responded to shots fired in the area of Rock and Franklin Streets around 11:40 a.m. Thursday morning.

When they arrived, officers found Colus Jamal Mills-Good, 18, of Fall River suffering from gunshot wounds, police said. The victim was taken to Saint Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, where he was later pronounced dead.

Police arrested 19-year-old Xzavien Figueroa-Valcarel and 18-year-old Giovanni Nunes, both of Fall River, and charged them with Accessory to Murder-After the Fact, officials said.

Both suspects will be arraigned Monday morning in Fall River District Court.

The investigation into the shooting remains "extremely active," authorities said.
