LYNN, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – Police in Lynn have confirmed the death of a 55-year-old woman following a crash between a moped and a dump truck Tuesday morning.
The accident happened at the intersection of Western Avenue and Washington Street around 9:25 am. Police had originally confirmed that two people were hit shortly after the incident occurred.

A 68-year-old man was driving the moped and the woman who died was his passenger. Both individuals were taken to Salem Hospital where the woman was pronounced dead.
Lynn police said the truck driver is cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.
