WRENTHAM, Mass. (WBZ NewsRadio) – A local business in Wrentham is up to its eyeballs in cereal, and it’s all for a good cause.

Berkshire Hathaway Home Services appears to have more cereal than a grocery store. The organization’s lobby is stacked high with 1,300 boxes of unopened cereal.

Administrative assistant Maria Daniel said the boxes are part of a food drive they are holding through the end of the month.

“Our manager in the office called our Wrentham local food pantry and asked what they had for a need and they specifically stated cereal.”

The group figured they would contribute to the cause by distributing the food to all local food pantries in the area as well as YMCA centers.

Realtor Todd Ingham said their goal is to collect up to 1,500 boxes of cereal.

“Hopefully we can get the last couple hundred boxes we need before the 31st.”
